Terrosa, the second solo exhibition by artist Mery Horta, took place from July 17 to August 31, 2024, at the Centro Cultural dos Correios in Rio de Janeiro, bringing together over ten works—including sculptures, an installation, and a performance. In researching and creating these pieces, the artist immersed herself in a mythological universe of beings that emerge from the earth, connecting the past, present, and future. The works were created using organic materials and elements representing pre- and post-life stages.
The exhibition was curated by Carolina Rodrigues and supported by the "Support for the Visual Arts" grant (Paulo Gustavo Law / SECEC RJ).
A printed exhibition catalog was produced, featuring texts by the artist, the curator, and guest artists Irene Peixoto, Andrea Hygino, and Ruth Torralba.
